Problem: Once form is filled out, nothing happens when the submit button is pressed.
Affected Operating Systems: Windows XP with Service Pack 2
Resolution: With the introduction of Service Pack 2 (SP2) for Windows XP, many new features were added, particularly in various security areas. and Music Contracts require “Active Content” to be allowed to run in files on the local hard drive, and SP2 has this disabled by default. This setting needs to be re-enabled.
Procedure:
- Open Internet Explorer
- Go to the TOOLS menu, and choose INTERNET OPTIONS
- Select the ADVANCED Tab
- Scroll down to the SECURITY settings group
- Check the box next to “Allow Active Content to run in files on my computer.”
- Click on OK
The software should now function properly.
Software Not Compatible with Mozilla Firefox Browser.
Problem: Data file is corrupt/damaged.
Affected Operating Systems: All
Resolution: If the computer freezes, crashes, or suddenly loses power while the program is open, the data file will become corrupted and unusable. The Data file will need to be recovered.
Procedure: WINDOWS
- Open the folder C:Program Files/Showbiz Solutions/Showbiz RateMaster
- Hold down the SHIFT KEY and the CTRL key at the same time, and double click the application file "ShowbizRate_Book05.EXE"
- A window will pop up and ask you to select the damaged database(s). Select "Rate_Book.srb" and hit OK. Then repeat with the "Calculator.srb" file, and finally the "My_Rates.srb" file.
The software should now function properly
Procedure: Macintosh
- Go to the "Showbiz RateMaster" file (Wherever you saved it on your hard drive.)
- Hold down the COMMAND KEY, while holding down the COMMAND KEY and the OPTION key at the same time, and double click the application file "ShowbizRate_Book05.EXE"
- A window will pop up and ask you to select the damaged database(s). Select "Rate_Book.srb" and hit OK. Then repeat with the "Calculator.srb" file, and finally the "My_Rates.srb" file.
The software should now function properly
